DVD news (6/27/01) Image Entertainment, which just released "Paul McCartney Live at the Cavern Club!," will release two more Beatle DVDs by the end of the year. "Paul McCartney and Friends: The PETA Concert" is scheduled to hit the streets on Sept. 4. The description: "Paul McCartney hosts and gives a rare live performance at PETA's Concert for Party Animals -- a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of stars who have made the fight for animal rights one of today's most popular causes." The 85-minute long disc with a $24.99 list, will feature Dolby Digital 5.1 sound and the following songs:

  3. Roam - The B52s with Chrissie Hynde and Sarah McLachlan
  4. Rock Lobster - The B52s

In addition to the songs, the disc will include special features: PETA Exposes with celebrity commentary; "Tame Yourself" music video by Raw Youth; and public service announcements, plus a long list of celebrity appearances.

"The Best of Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band" is scheduled to be released Nov. 13. The disc will feature 34 songs from the following shows: Greek Theater, Los Angeles, 1989; Empire Theater, Liverpool, 1992; Montreaux Jazz Festival, 1992; Japan 1995; Pine Knob, Mich. 1997.
