(11/1/02) Here's our exclusive preview of some of the tracks, most not on the Web:
"P2 Vatican Blues (Last Saturday Night)": A rollicking rock-blues song with its satirical lyrics and even a hilaious Bob Dylan impression by George in the middle.
"Pisces Fish": A moody ballad with a heavy Dylan influence.
"Rising Sun: George meets ELO. Incredibly lush, orchestrated song that is quite an emotional listen.
"Marwa Blues": The instrumental riff that opens the "Making of .." video begins this song. Some of the sweetest guitar work we've ever heard by George.
"Never Get Over You": A lush, gorgeous ballad filled with George's slide. The track makes plentiful use of echo, which only increases the beauty of the song.
"The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea": George and a spare backup band ramble through this song. The guitar solo has a hint of Django Reinhardt. Another song that sounded like he had a blast doing it. This is the version that's been bootlegged, though now in superb stereo.
"Rockin' Chair In Hawaii:" The old blues song "Rockin' Chair" done in a mostly acoustic guitar style and slide in the background. George's vocal sounds like he was smiling the whole time.
