All I can say after these three show is : thanks Beatles, thanks Paul! My life would be so different without you and your music.
I´m very proud of having been in all the shows, it doesn´t matter if i wasn´t in fisrt row(in fact I WAS IN LAST ROW in the last show) is great be part of this success, be part of this "Luz Mexicana" (Mexican light) as McCartney said. It doesn´t matter if Paul forgot the words in ´Hello goodbye´ or in ´Eleanor Rigby´, Thanks Paul!. This is a short review of the third show: -Show began at 21:02(I mean McCartney on stage)Paul was wearing a purple-blue jacket, a red long-sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans, nearly the same look as in the first show.
- Paul forgot the words in ´Hello goodbye´
- As usual, we performed ´Mexican lighter version´ of "Every night", Paul on guitar and people on claps and lighter. We even had a solo of lighter with Paul singing (shick!, shick!, shick!)
- Paul speaking in spanish all the time, he recited the Spanish poem again about the " Tres conejos en un arbol......"(three rabbits in a tree).
- Paul saying "Ustedes son un gran publico!"("you are a great audience")
- After Paul introduced Rusty, Rusty asked the people to join in order to appear in a Photograph he wanted to take, so he asked us to say ´Cheeeessseee´ and then took the photograph, we all shouted after this happened. I hope Rusty gives a copy of this photograph.
- After ¨Let it be¨Paul show us his own ligther and its light on, another great moment for the people in the forum.
- Great performance to ´Let´em in´ and ´She´s leaving home´(that´s my opinion, it made me cry!)
- The madness appeared while Paul was performing ´Live and let die´, the explotions, the lights, the sounds, the flames, we all got mad!.
- The lighters on while Paul was performing ´Let it be´, being in the las row helped me to see this great momment, I could clearly see all the people weaving his hand with a ligther on, great! Even Paul turned to see the people.
- Great moment when ´Hey Jude was performed, the people in the screens, we could even see Heather showed in the screens while she was singing: ´Da da da da, hey Jude!"
- And the highlight of the show: Before ´I saw her standing there, Paul came closer to the first row and pointed some people, suddenly, three boys (two boys and one girl) appeared on stage, as Paul was saying "cuatro gentes mexicanas"("four mexican people" then another girl got on the stage, (boys about 15-20 years old, two girls dressed in Sargeant Pepper suits) first of all, the boys met Paul, the girls even kissed Paul, they all met the other musicians also and the big surprise happened, Paul started to play ´I saw her standing there´with the kids on stage, they started to dance and the boys sang the song in the same Paul´s microphone , oooops! The boy even dare to play the magic piano (A lucky and brave guy!) Everybody could see in the screens ´Paul McCartney and kids´ performing ´I saw her standing there´. The song ended and the kids said goodbye to Paul and the band. Finally the band left for the second encore.
- Paul appeared on stage for the second encore and the people joined to sing ´Yesterday´.
- The end came and Paul told us we had to go to sleep, he thanked the Mexican people, the band, roadies, and performed the last song, ´Sgt.peppers reprise´ and ´The end´.
- Paul left by saying good bye: " Adios México! Nos vemos en la proxima! (Good bye México, see you next) AND WE HOPE SO!!!!!(it was 23:41)
And a last thing about the last concert, outside 'El palacio de los Deportes´, I met one of the girls which got on stage to perform ´I saw her standing there´) I recognized because of the Sgt.pepper suit), I took her hand for a while and I can say she was still really shocked, the only thing she told me was: "I can´t believe it happened to me", no more she said to me. Her mother was with the girl but she looked very happy about what happened to her daughter. The name of the girl is Adriana. Thanks Paul.

From Mariana Dalzell:
Another points after the third magnificent concert in Mexico City!:
1. The show was absolutely amazing! Paul was incredibly dedicated (may I say devoted?) to the audience! The band... wow, the band was more and more POWERFUL! 2. The audience was WILD, CRAZY, HAPPY! So devoted to Paul who spent time in the concert saying so lovely things about our country and mexican people. Paul and all the members of the band learned a lot af new phrases in Spanish. 3. Paul join us to the show of lights with his own lighter! "The fool on the hill", "Let'em in", and of course "Every night" are unforgettable from now on thanks to the lighters' show! When "Every Night" was finishing he stopped playing to enjoy with us the lovely show of lighters. 4. His gorgeous wife was between first row and the stage dancing very sexy especially in "Hey Jude". 5. At the end of the first encore Paul invited four lucky Mexicans (three girls and a boy from the first row) to sing and dance with him on stage "I Saw Her Standing There"! So sweet! 6. After enjoying these three concerts I am totally happy... I guess I am a bit more happy now thanks to these new memories in my heart. Thank you Paul for giving us so much of you... for sharing your heart and lovely touch with all your fans.
Update (11/6/02) From Edmundo Chávez, from Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico:
Twice in a lifetime. Macca again: November the 3rd, Mexico City.
Well again I was lucky enough to see Paul live, after my trip to Dallas in november the 3rd. I went to the Mexico City exclusively to see Macca, and it was worth the tour. I was at the concert hall since 5 pm. At 5:30 pm the doors opened due to a driving rain (he,he). I heard the last songs that he did for his soundcheck before the concert ("Here, there and everywhere" and "Lady Madonna"). The concert began at 8:00 (the pre-show) and Macca appeared with his bass at 8:15 pm. The show ended at 11:15 pm. They were too much emotions for this concert: it was the first time that I saw Paul in my country: Mexico. Paul said many words in spanish, as all his bandmates did (all of them giving their best!). The real difference was the crowd. We were really enthusiasthic and at some times Paul just let us give the handclaps noise full the Sports Palace. Some highlights:
Paul said "Hola mi muy querido México" (Hi my dear Mexico) -that phrase conquered the crow for the rest of the show.
Altough the big favourite of the mexicans is "Can't buy me love" the crow really get excited with that, "Let it be" and "Yesterday" but the big deal was "Live and let die" ... there wasnt a foot quiet: everyone were dancing!
During the slideshow for Lady Madonna was an standing ovation when the crowd see the Frida picture.
To my own surprise, although the joke was completely in English, the crowd laughed a lot during the massage story.
Things that Paul didn't do: He did not told the joke about the "Something" reprise. He didn't say that George was a fan of the famous ukelele player.
He didn't perform "Freedom". He also omitted the Japan incident joke.Things that Paul did : a lot of translation of the show. And many very touching phrases. The last one lasted on my mind: "Tienen corazones grandes". He also played a lot with the crowd "Son un público excelente". He also repeated his Spanish lesson. Muchas gracias amigo Paul!
Update (11/5/02) From Manuel Borja of the La Caverna radio show in Mexico:
Steve, This is Manuel Borja The next is the review of the first and second concerts in Mexico City made by a good friend of mine who attended both shows, so...On Behalf of "La Caverna" Radio show:
By Jesica Rosales Delgado
(whose friends call Jesica Macca) It was just like a dream, I guess...a dream made come true!!! We had been waiting for a long time, and we weren't sure if he would be able to come again... but SURPRISE! He was here, he spread his energy, he gave us life!!!!!!!! I traveled 12 hrs by bus, from Monterrey to Mexico City, I didn't sleep cause I was so anxious and happy, I just couldn't believe it!!! The magical and mystery concert started when the strange characters got into the scenery, with the musical background of the Fireman. That was the pre-show: a mix of cultures, a mix of colours: the Harlequin, the Grecian statues, the Chinese princess, the Flamenco Girl, etc. We (the audience) were shouting and singing all the time; we couldn't stop feeling so excited because of the music. Paul started singing "Hello, Goodbye" and the audience was shocked. Paul said many words in Spanish, like "Tres conejos en un árbol tocan el tambor, que sí, que no, qué no he visto yo!" (He learned this phrase in school), "Mi querido México", "Son un gran público", "Excelente público", "Vivan los muertos"(he mentioned this phrase because of a mexican tradition). His band spoke some words in spanish too, saying "Hola" to Mexican people. The songs were almost the same that in the U.S concerts, but he sang for the first time, the wonderful classical song "She's leaving home"; we were so enthusiastic that during the concert we were turning a light on and off... and Paul was really amazed with the people response. He dedicated two songs for his friends: JOHN AND GEORGE, "Here Today" and "Something" respectively... and that was great, cause in the screens there were images of Beatles´ moments. Besides, He dedicated "Your loving flame" to his wife Heather (He said "para mi esposa hermosa"). The show lasted about three hours, and we wanted more hehehe! He made us laugh, cry, enjoy, shout, all the feelings ever imagined!!!!! I just can say: thank you Paul for giving me the best moment of my life, because being a young girl makes difficult to find something so great, so unbelievable like your music, and you give me the chance to be in your magical tour! I really hope you 'll come back to our country, this is your house, this is your Mexican people who love you so much!
(11/4/02) From Mariana Dalzell:
I am almost speechless after the experience of Paul's concert! But I would like to let you know some points about it (ideas are not in order as you can see but is the more I can do for now!):
1. He played exactly the same set list of this second leg, except for “Freedom”, he didn’t played it, and believe me, I missed it!
2. "Every night" and "Let'em in", after our magical show of lights are my new favourite Paul's songs.
3. Paul refer to our country as "Mi querido México"
4. At the beginning of the first encore he show a huge mexican flag and a charro hat.
5. In the first encore the drummer (what a drummer!) played with the charro hat on.
6. During "Lady Madonna" when all the pictures of women are shown, the Mexican audience reacted very excited clapping and shouting at the moment Frida Khalo appeared on the screen.
7. In november 2nd in Mexico, we celebrate "The day of death" and before singing the songs for John and George he said that if John were around here he would say "Viva los muertos!"
8. "Here today" and "Something" were two of the most emotional moments of the concert.
9. Some other highlights of the concert were "Back in the USSR", "I saw her standing there", "Hey Jude", "Let it be", "Yesterday"... well I guess all the Beatles songs! Maybe I have to say that the entire concert was a HIGHLIGHT!
10. The place where Paul played yesterday (and will play today and next tuesday) is (was?) well known for its very bad sound... but let me tell you that the sound of this concert was EXCELLENT! No "bounce" of sound in there!
11. At the end of the show we saw falling from the ceiling confetti in three different colours: green, white and red... the colours of our national flag... was really touching!
12. The band!... I cannot find the words to describe it! Full of energy, love, respect for the audience and pure power!
13. The concert!... Memorable, enjoyable... a dream come true! How can you just don't love Paul?
14. No need to say that the place was completely, absolutely FULL! (Over 16 500 people... and i dare to say that the two concerts to come will be the same way).
15. Programms: 12 dollars, T-shirts and caps: 17 dollars.
16. And of course the opening was the perfect frame to an unforgettable and magical show!
17. I can't believe I will see him again twice!
