Ringo 2006 Grand Prairie

(7/8/06) From Fernando Zavala:

Hi Steve,

I had the chance to attend the 03/07/06 show held at the Nokia Center, Grand Prairie (Dallas, TX). Got 3rd row seat (just in front Richard Marx) . Ringo and The All Starrs performed in front of a 90% full house venue. I've seen Ringo on tour since 2001 and I just can't believe how fit and enegetic he's looking now. Many fans throw some little gifts for Ringo for his birthday, he was in great spirits joking and enjoying the show, as usual he refused to sign of Beatle drumheads and records. This time he was talking about the other group he was with when someone from 2nd row showed him off a Beatle Drumhead just to hear him saying "Do you think I forgot their name?" "I know who their name was!"

Richard Marx rocked with his eighties classics as Sheila E, Rod Argent and Billy Squier did. Edgar Winter feature on his solo spot and Hamish Stewart kept very low profile this time too. Stewart played bass all through the show in his funky-rocker style. Very good show for a 66 years old rocker, but I guess there are many classics out of the songlist. Goodnight, Only You, Goodnight Vienna, A dose of Rock and Roll, Cookin', 6 O' Clock, Wrack my Brain, etc and maybe If you've got troubles. I hope he'll do a 100% Ringo show before retiring. Don't miss this tour anyway, folks!
